The CNC Turner will assist in the manufacturing of parts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved; and high quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.
The role will be based on-site at our facility in Farnborough.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set, operate and program CNC lathes
- Produce high quality machined parts in accordance with work instructions and drawings, ensuring that all specifications, quality expectations and inspection requirements are understood prior to commencing jobs and that any issues are reported to the Team Leader at the earliest opportunity.
- Self-inspect work using precision measurement tools; verniers, calipers, gauges, micrometers
- Input to design process to improve DFM of components
- Utilise tooling effectively, ensuring that any needs are communicated promptly.
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge and an understanding of CNC turning processes.
- Familiarity with materials handling
- Familiarity with industry safety standards
